I had hoped for a natural childbirth when my son was born 5 years ago, and I ended up with an emergency c-section due to his heart rate increasing and additional stress. It was a tough recovery for me, but everything worked out and he was a very happy, healthy baby (that barely slept :-)). My daughter's birth was much less eventful, but I ended up having another c-section with her for a variety of reasons. I was fortunate enough to have nurses that seemed to care and it all happened very fast after they gave me Pitocin and broke my water. Good luck with this new journey! Congratulations!!!
